The LNG Blue Corridors project continues to promote a barrier-free LNG market in Europe. In addition to creating new infrastructure, it has encouraged a long list of new fleet operators to make the switch to LNG, including ADPO, Logicompany, Fercam, Transportes Mariné, Luis Simoes, Paulo Duarte, Torrestir, TJA, TIEL, AtlanticCargo, Patinter, Transportes Noriega, TML and Ninatrans, among many others.
Ninatrans is a particularly noteworthy addition. Ninatrans, which was recently praised for implementing innovative teardrop-shaped trailers that significantly reduce fuel consumption and therefore CO2 emissions, has deepened its commitment to environmentally friendly transport by adopting LNG trucks to tis fleet.
On the other hand, ADPO, another Belgian company, has had a number of trucks running for some time around Antwerp and at the port area – one of the busiest regions in Europe.
Each operator has the same target: to reduce the overall TCO – Total Cost of Ownership – by up to 10%, as well as improve environmental performance.
