Chevron-operated Gorgon LNG project execution activities have reached the 90% mark.
All the subsea pipelines, wellheads and associated facilities for Gorgon and Jansz-lo fields are completed, the company said in a statement. All 18 subsea wells have been drilled and are complete, with pre-commissioning activities are under way on the subsea facilities at both fields.
Delivery of modules required for LNG Train 2 on Curtis Island off Gladstone continues. All Train 1 modules and 13 of 17 Train 2 modules are on their foundations.
Both LNG tanks are ready for LNG and the construction is complete on three of the four condensate tanks.
The jetty is complete except for the loading arm installation. The domestic gas pipeline is now connected from the mainland through the jetty to the plant site and pre-commissioning activities are complete.
With permanent power to the permanent operations facility, the first members of the operations team have started commissioning and monitoring systems in the central control room. Construction and pre-commissioning activities are complete for one of the four ground flare boxes.
