Third ConferenzaGNL, 11-12 June 2015 Rome
Next month Rome will host the most important international event on LNG for transports in the Mediterranean
Rome 12 May 2015 – The involved institutions and the European companies which have developed business strategies for LNG in the Mediterranean will meet in Rome on the 11th and 12th of June, to discuss the state of the art and the perspectives in the use of LNG in maritime, road and rail transport and in off-grid plants. Rome is at the centre of Italy which, in turn, is at the centre of the Mediterranean; probably the best location to extend the so-called “LNG revolution” from Northern Europe and North America to Southern Europe and the Mediterranean coasts of the Middle East and Africa.
The topics discussed will be, among the others:
The development of logistics and transport capacity of small quantities of LNG to supply coastal storage, filling stations, factories and off-grid facilities. The state of implementation of the European Directive 93/2013 for the realisation of filling stations for alternative fuels to oil.
The perspectives in the environmental maritime regulation in the Mediterranean, taking into consideration worldwide policy making. The impact of the first 0.1% sulphur level in the North Sea.
The European choice for LNG in the context of the Energy Union, which stated: “the Commission will prepare a comprehensive LNG strategy […]” and “[…] will also work to remove obstacles to LNG imports from the US and other LNG producers.”
First FieraGNL of the Mediterranean
In conjunction with the Third ConferenzaGNL, the first FieraGNL (LNG fair) of the Southern European and Mediterranean area will take place nearby. A wide audience of professionals, experts and students will have the chance to see the technology of the LNG industry first hand, to attend education courses, meet individually representatives of companies and discuss the results of the most research analyses. In the designated external area, LNG and duel fuel trucks will be parked and available for test-driving.

Terza ConferenzaGNL, 11-12 giugno 2015 Roma
Tra un mese a Roma il più rilevante evento internazionale sul GNL per i trasporti nel Mediterraneo
Roma 12 maggio 2015 - Le Istituzioni interessate e le industrie europee che hanno strategie di sviluppo del GNL nel Mediterraneo si incontreranno a Roma i prossimi 11 e 12 giugno per fare il punto e discutere delle prospettive di utilizzo del GNL nei trasporti marittimi, terrestri, ferroviari e nelle industrie scollegate dalle reti.
Roma è al centro dell’Italia che è al centro del Mediterraneo: il miglior punto di vista per estendere la “rivoluzione GNL” dall’Europa e dall’America del Nord anche all’Europa del Sud e alle coste mediterranee dei Paesi del Medio Oriente e dell’Africa.
Tra i punti principali che saranno discussi:
- Lo sviluppo della logistica e della capacità di trasporto di piccole quantità di GNL per l’alimentazione dei depositi costieri, delle stazioni di servizio, delle industrie e delle piccole reti isolate. Lo stato di attuazione della Direttiva europea 93/2014 per la realizzazioni di stazioni di servizio alternative al petrolio.
- Le prospettive della regolamentazione ambientale marittima del Mediterraneo nell’ambito delle decisioni mondiali. L’impatto dei primi sei mesi di zolfo a 0,1% nei mari del Nord.
- La scelta europea del GNL per la sicurezza energetica nella “Energy Union”: “La Commissione preparerà una strategia globale per il GNL …..” e “…… si adopererà anche per rimuovere gli ostacoli alle importazioni dagli Stati Uniti e dagli altri produttori di GNL”.
Prima FieraGNL del Mediterraneo
In contemporanea ai lavori della Terza ConferenzaGNL, in locali attigui, si svolgerà la Prima FieraGNL realizzata nell’area del Sud Europa e del Mediterraneo. Un vasto pubblico di professionisti, esperti e studenti potrà “toccare con mano” le tecnologie della filiera del GNL per i trasporti, seguire corsi di formazione, incontrare le imprese a “tu per tu”, ascoltare i risultasti delle più recenti ricerche.
Nell’area esterna stazioneranno e si potranno fare delle esperienze di guida di camion alimentati elusivamente a GNL o in dual fuel (GNL e Diesel).
