The tender process initiated by Bomin Linde LNG for contracting a LNG bunker supply vesselhas entered the final phase. The vessel is expected to be ordered in the third quarter this yearand will become operational in 2017.In February 2015 Klaipedos Nafta, operator of the first full scale LNG terminal in the Baltic Searegion, and Bomin Linde LNG, Germany-based provider of liquefied natural gas (LNG) asmarine fuel, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop the LNG fuelmarket in the Baltic Sea in particular the development of a LNG bunker supply vessel.This state-of-the-art LNG bunker supply vessel will provide bunkering services in the entireBaltic and North Sea. Besides LNG bunkering the vessel will also transport LNG to other LNGterminals and to the LNG reloading station in Klaipeda, which is being developed by 2017 byKlaipedos Nafta.With a total capacity of up to 7.000 cubic meters, a powerful set of adjustable pumps and onboardre-liquefaction equipment the vessel will be able to serve a broad set of client vesselswith different tank types and capacities. The propulsion and steering system is designed to behighly manoeuvrable so Bomin Linde LNG can serve client vessels with short duration portstays in a very flexible way.
