The Total Group, through its Total Italia branch, has announced in recent days that it has entered the market for the sale of LNG to final consumers in Italy in land transport as well as for industrial and maritime uses. The commitment of the French group is part of the strategy of progressive reduction of carbon emissions in line with the goal of eliminating its environmental impact in Europe by 2050, as per the "Net Zero by 2050" project
The Total Group, with more than 40 years of experience, is the second largest global LNG operator with a portfolio of around 50 million t / year by 2025 and a world market share of 10%. In 2019 it sold 34 mln t and has shares in liquefaction plants in Qatar, Nigeria, Russia, Norway, Oman, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, Australia and Angola.
More recently, with the acquisition of Engie's LNG activities, the Group has also entered the small scale sector, in particular in the maritime sector with two ten-year contracts for the supply of LNG ships from MSC Cruises and CMA CGM (container ship).
The subsidiary Total Italia guarantees the availability of the product on the main European terminals, also ensuring flexibility, professionalism and high safety standards for delivery services.
All the players in the company's supply chain have followed continuous training courses through the Total Academy. For truck, industry and marine customers, exclusive services are provided, including a wide range of lubricants, the ANAC service for preventive analysis of machinery / vehicle wear and privileged access to the Total Rubia Truck Center workshop network.
Also in this field Total collaborates with AS 24 Italia, a network used by European transport companies that allows you to obtain supplies from dedicated and optimized distributors for heavy vehicles, using AS 24 fuel cards and the AS 24 / Eurotrafic network.
