The Spanish company Gas Natural Fenosa has announced the opening to the public of a third new LNG/CNG station in France, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

Located north of Bordeaux, near a junction of the A630 ring road, the new structure will allow the refueling of all types of natural gas vehicles traveling the Atlantic Corridor to reach the north of France and Europe or to go down to Spain.

With a tank of 80 cubic meters of LNG and a distribution capacity of 150 tons of gas per month, the new Bordeaux plant currently has a LNG pump and a double compressed CNG pump; in the case of liquid gas, however, access is restricted to professionals in possession of a badge provided by the operator, who according to the turnout has already planned the possible installation of a second LNG pump.

Gas Natural Fenosa has been present in France since September 2014, when the first LNG/CNG station was opened in Castets (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), near the town of Bayonne close to exit 12 of the A63 motorway, to serve the carrier Mendy, which had a fleet of 11 LNG trucks; followed in 2016 by the Migne-Auxance station, located about 210 km north of Bordeaux, near Poitiers close to the exit 29 of the A10 motorway.
