Last February 25th, the GNVERT company - subsidiary of ENGIE group - inaugurated in France a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) station, together with compressed gas (CNG) and compressed biomethane (BioCNG) station in Bourges, a town located in central France in the  Central-Loire Valley Region.

Located near the A71 motorway, in the heart of the Moutet industrial zone (ZAC), in the Joseph Aristide Auxenfans street of Bourges, 10 minutes from the city center and 5 minutes from the city airport, the new station has replaced a pre-existing distribution facility of gaseous methane built in 2012 and limited only to light vehicles.

Open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, the new plant will be able to supply all types of heavy natural gas vehicles of the region's logistics operators, providing LNG, GNC and BioGNC. Initially reserved only for carriers equipped with a badge provided by the operator, in the next weeks the plant will also be open to the public with the possibility of paying by credit card.

According to data collected by ConferenzaGNL, this is the 6th LNG distribution station opened in France by GNVERT, which increases to almost thirty the total number of operating stations in the country for this kind of fuel.
