ENN Energy, a private-owned Chinese group active in the gas infrastructure and distribution sector, has openend a new state-of-the-art refuelling station for LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) at Albert Heijn’s distribution center in Zaandam (the Netherlands). Specifically in the liquefied natural gas branch, ENN has a network of over 600 LNG refueling stations in China, the United States of America (Blu LNG), Canada (ENN Canada) and Europe (LNG Europe) and the network in last twelve months grew by 30% and continues to expand. After the chain Albert Heijn supermarkets adopted, since 2011, a fleet of about 30 trucks Mercedes-Benz Econic powered with LNG for its logistics services, the increase in transport partners and consumed volumes has justified the investment of ENN in a new filling plant (in substitution of a pre-existing semi-mobile station) in Zaandam, that has been equipped with a storage capacity of 60,000 litres of LNG, sufficient to supply 150 trucks every day. The new station, completely automated, can read remotely all the information relating to the fuel as well as to the vehicle and the driver, with beneficial impact on the safety and speed of the transaction, as well as the reliability of vehicle and refuelling data.
