New LNG plant in San Maurizio Canavese (Turin)

From Thursday 24 January 2019, north of Turin, a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed gas (C-LNGdistribution plant owned by Rete SpA. Designed and built by Italian-Spanish HAM-Italia, the plant accepts the HAM supply card.

Its official inauguration is postponed until March 2019, waiting for a helpful climate for an outdoor event.

The new LNG station, marked by the Blu brand, is located in via Torino-Strada Provinciale 2 (Turin-Lanzo) at Km 16 + 102, in the municipality of San Maurizio Canavese (TO), shortly after the Caselle airport. The station is  the second LNG plant of Rete Spa in Piedmont, after the one inaugurated last November in Beinasco.

The company plans to open in the Piedmont Region three more stations by 2019 in the interports area S.I.T.O. of Orbassano and Novara, and to Poirino at the exit towards Santena. (see news of ConferenceGNL of February 2018 at the site: http://www.conferenzagnl.com/blu-primo-marchio-gnl-5-stazioni-rete-spa-piemonte/).

Furthermore, another plant is also being planned in Settimo street, not far from Iveco headquarters.

The plant brings LNG stations for trucks and cars operating in Piedmont to 5 (39 in Italy today, plus 11 that only lease GNL-C) while 11 LNG plants are using the HAM refueling card in Italy, making it possible in various Italian locations such as Turin, Mestre, Padua, Modena, Bologna, Rome, Salerno and Roseto, soon to be joined by two other LNG plants in Bergamo and Brescia, now in the finishing line.
