Mobile LNG filling: Ham, Snam, FS, Hitachi, Levorato, TiApm, Ecomotive, HVM, Goldengas

Ham Italia has been awarded the European tender for the supply and installation of a mobile LNG refuelling station launched a year ago by the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority (main ports of Genoa, Savona, Vado Ligure). The HAM Group is a European leader in the use of mobile LNG refuelling stations for trucks and buses. One of them has been operating for more than six months at the depot of the public transport company TPER in Bologna.

The tender, launched a year ago, is part of the GNL Facile project (Integrated Accessible Source for Efficient Logistics), developed in the European initiative Interreg Italy-France on the use of liquefied natural gas. Ham Italia's bid was the only one received. Compared to an auction base of €335,000, the tender was awarded for €334,675.11.

The project has mainly demonstration objectives (Demoday) that will be developed over the next few years in the ports of Genoa, La Spezia, Marina di Carrara and Toulon.

Construction work continues on Italy's first LNG train (http://www.conferenzagnl.com/2021/02/in-arrivo-i-treni-italiani-a-gnl/?kang=en), built as part of a collaboration agreement between Snam, Fondazione FS, part of Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, and Hitachi Rail. The photos show the successful refuelling tests carried out in recent days at Trenitalia's workshops in Rimini.

To carry out the tests and then for the regular refuelling of the train, when it will be operational in the railway network, Snam has developed a cryogenic "mini-tanker" involving some of the Italian players in the small-scale LNG supply chain: Levorato Marcevaggi (cryogenic tankers), TiApm (Technoimpianti APM, transport engineering), Ecomotive Solutions S.r.l. (innovative motorizations), HVM Hight Vacuum Maintenance (customised cryogenic tanks), Goldengas and LNG and bioLNG).
