MSC Cruises and Total, already linked by an LNG supply agreement for the next cruise ships of the Swiss shipowner who has Genoa as the reference port for cruises in the Mediterranean, have finalized the agreement for the supply of LNG at the port of Marseille.
Last week, after receiving the authorization for the temporary operation, the Higas plant, the first coastal LNG deposit in the Mediterranean entered into service, with a capacity of 9,000 cubic meters divided between six containers. The depot overlooks the port of Santa Giusta - Oristano, in Sardinia island, Italy.
Repsol has bunkered a ship with LNG in the port of Cartagena in Spain, guaranteeing full compensation for the CO2 emissions associated with fuel consumption.
