The Italian company Saipem has developed a low carbon technology for the LNG sector. In particular, the Liqueflex technology intended for the market of small and medium liquefaction of natural gas consists of an innovative liquefaction process which, if applied to LNG production plants, allows to reduce the environmental impact associated with maritime and road transport.
The innovation aims to give a new boost to the ecological transition, while at the same time obtaining significant economic savings in the production, treatment and transport of natural gas from a Carbon Neutrality perspective. The solution is conceived according to standardized designs, which can be installed on a modular basis, with production capacities of 0.2-1.2 million tons per year.
The company is also developing the High Efficiency Regassification Solutions package, i.e. high efficiency solutions for the boil off regasification sector, so that it is no longer dispersed. Saipem presents its Carbon Neutral solutions for the LNG sector at Gastech 2021.
