The Dutch company, Rolande LNG has taken over ENN Clean Fuels, a unit of Chinese privately-owned ENN Energy Holdings, expanding its network of liquefied natural gas stations.

With the addition of the two stations, one in Zaandam and one in Oss, Rolande LNG extended its network from six to eight stations, further strengthening its market position. Jolon van der Schuit, the company’s CEO said the acquisition of ENN stations is in line with the company’s plan to strengthen its market position in the Netherlands.

He adds that the market for LNG as fuel in the Netherlands is still relatively small and that “much focus is needed” to strengthen the chilled fuel’s position.

The CEO noted the company is focusing on developing bio-LNG and is looking for short-term growth in the segment as well as to develop a Europe-wide LNG network.
