Iveco has delivered fifteen Stralis Hi-Way  LNG Euro VI to the italian firm Pe.Tra of Brembate (municipality near Bergamo, in the region of Lombardy), which, with two offices in Italy and four subsidiaries abroad (Germany, Romania and Spain), provides intermodal transport and logistics services at national and European level.

Initially, Pe.tra will use the Stralis LNG-powered trucks  on the routes between its factories in Valladolid and Madrid.

The ceremony was held at the company's headquarters, in the presence of Mihai Radu Daderlat, Business Director of Iveco Italian Market, of Noach Dror, VP Transport Logistics of CNH Industrial, of Gianandrea Pellegrinelli, Pe.tra owner and of Paolo Zanardi, holder of Auto Industriale Bergamasca, Iveco dealership reference for the client Pe.Tra.

The trucks Stralis Natural Power model AT440S33T/P fed with liquefied natural gas (LNG) are equipped with the Iveco Cursor 8 C-LNG Euro VI 330 HP engine and with a cryogenic LNG tank of 510 liters and four CNG tanks of 70 liter capacity which permit a total range of more than 750 kilometers, thus allowing their best use on the medium and long distance.

With regard to the economic viability, the total savings of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of a LNG vehicle  over time is larger than 10%. In fact, natural gas has a lower cost compared to diesel, allowing a significant reduction in the cost of fuel, which represents the most important item of TCO.
