Last October, MAN Energy Solutions published a white paper entitled: “Decarbonise now with LNG-to-Power” where the company underlines how crucial LNG is for the decarbonisation of the energy sector. As a matter of fact, in order to reach the medium-term decarbonisation goals set, Liquified Natural Gas offers great potential considering its significant reduction of carbon emissions, almost 50% less than other traditional fuels.
The paper analyses the environmental savings obtained with the construction of LNG plants on a large scale through the so-called “one-step solution” which would combine LNG suppliers, EPC contractors and investment funds.
Moreover, the paper highlights how small-scale LNG plants for the production of energy developed and built through the approach proposed in the study would significantly decrease the environmental impact of the energy sector while creating sustainable income.
