Air Liquide opened its third LNG-CNG fueling station for road transport in Duttlenheim (Bas-Rhin), France on Tuesday. It follows two stations opened earlier, in Fleville-devant-Nancy in July, and in Lesquin (near Lille) in early October.
Air Liquide said in its statement that the facility is set up to serve road freight, and can refuel vehicles with compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas produced in part from biomethane.
The facility will be jointly operated by Air Liquide and Auchan Retail France, just like the Lesquin station, which opened on October 7.
The new multienergy service stations of Air Liquide permit also the refuelling of liquid nitrogen (N2) that instead feeds trucks with a unit of cryogenic refrigeration for the transport of refrigerated foodstuffs.
The latest fueling station adds to the more 40 CNG facilities operated in Sweden by Air Liquide’s unit, FordonsGas, with nealry 70% of CNG produced from renewable energies.
