Recently, the Dutch transport company St van den Brink has received fourteen LNG-fuelled long-haulers through the Volvo Trucks Netherlands dealer Harbers.

The order consist s of Volvo 12 FM LNG 4×2 trucks and two Volvo FH LNG 4×2 trucks.

According to Alex van den Brink, owner of the Dutch transport company, there have been several innovative, environmental and financial reasons for the choice of LNG-powered trucks.

Indeed, the Stvd Brink not only aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by at least 20 percent, but also to obtain economic benefits in the face of an expected increase in motorway tariffs for lorries in the Netherlands, which should be lower for those powered by LNG, while in Germany they are already exempted.

St van den Brink, specialized in refrigerated transport, counts 870 employees and a fleet of 500 tractors and 425 trailers.
