In order to meet the growing demand of its customers and pursue the commitments made with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the French construction, maintenance and services company Kiloutou has recently acquired five new IVECO Stralis NP 460-horsepower trucks, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which equipped with double tanks allow a long range of over 1,600 kilometers.
To cover the equipment delivery needs in large cities, Kiloutou France plans to acquire 10 additional Stralis NP in its fleet in 2019,
Along with the arrival of the new vehicles, Kiloutou has organized an inclusive training course for 15 of its drivers, which the company tracks in five points:
1: Characteristics and advantages of liquefied natural gas for motor vehicles
2: Regulations related to tank approval and frequency of inspections
3: Introduction to the Iveco Stralis NP tractor, its features and road tests
4: Fuel supply (LNG) and safety procedures
5: Identification of the precautions to be taken when the vehicle is parked for a long time
This mandatory training will allow drivers to receive "an individual trained driver card" essential to perform LNG refuelling operations at the pump.
