First Stralis NP IVECO delivered to Transports Jacky Perrenot

After the order of 250 LNG-powered trucks made at the International Solutrans Exhibition held in Lyon-Eurexpo in November 2017, on last 25th July the French company Transports Jacky Perrenot received the first Stralis NP 460 Iveco powered by LNG.

Christophe Jacques, Head of Heavyweight, and Eric Lainé, Key Account Manager of IVECO France, have officially handed over the keys of the first Stralis NP 460 in dual LNG configuration to Cédric Grataloup, Director of the agency Perrenot Munster and Christophe Dauzat, Director of Purchasing Zamenhof, in their branch of Andrézieux, in the Loire Department.

The subsidiary in Andrézieux, will receive 35 LNG vehicles by the end of September 2018, and the fleet will be managed for long-haul transport on behalf of the Casino Group.

"Initially we were limited in the shift to gas with the old models, but now, thanks to the engines of the NP460 and the double LNG tank, we arrive to the autonomy that allows us to finally achieve our long-range business," explained Cedric Grataloup, Director of Perrenot Munster.

Equipped with the 460 horsepower CURSOR 13 engine, the new Stralis NP 460 is powered by a double LNG tank that can extend its range of action to about 1,600 kilometers with just one full of fuel.

"The power and torque of a diesel, with the quietness and other advantages: these are the decisive parameters for us! With these new Stralis NP460, we will be able to match the performance of diesel vehicles by increasing the range compared to the gas vehicles of the Previous generations We will begin to monitor these vehicles and their analyzes in order to adapt their use and go even higher in performance with our partners " added Christophe Dauzat, Director of Purchases at Perrenot Munster.

Echoing the first order of 250 Stralis NP 400 in 2016, this new wave of vehicles will allow Perrenot to accelerate the conversion of its fleet, which by the end of 2018 should count 550 Iveco natural gas vehicles in its flotilla, for which a target of 1,000 trucks is expected by the end of 2020.
